Fujifilm X-T5 vs X100VI

The X-T5 leads on more headline specs, but the X100VI counters on a hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder and a lighter 521 g body.

The short version

The Fujifilm X-T5 and Fujifilm X100VI are Fujifilm APS-C bodies from different lines — the X-T and the X100. The X100VI is the newer of the two, arriving in 2024. At launch the X-T5 was $1,699 and the X100VI $1,599, making the X100VI the more affordable of the two.

On paper the X-T5 is the stronger body of the two. It gives you 15 fps continuous shooting, 7-stop in-body stabilization, and 580-shot battery life, with a few smaller wins on top of that.

The X100VI isn't far behind. It hits back with a hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder and a lighter 521 g body.

So which one? If you want 15 fps continuous shooting, get the X-T5. If a hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder is closer to what you actually need, the X100VI is the smarter buy. And the X100VI costs less — $1,599 at launch.
