Why the X-H2 wins
The X-H2 comes out first on 40.2 MP and 7-stop IBIS, and it is the right pick if you print big or crop into a headshot. X-Processor 5 eye detection is what makes f/1.2 shooting repeatable rather than a gamble.
The 8K video is irrelevant here and you should not pay for it. What you are buying is the sensor, the eye AF, and a 660g body that balances a heavy fast prime instead of being dragged around by it.
Who should buy something else
The X-S20 at $1,299 has the same 7-stop IBIS and the same X-Processor 5 subject detection, at 26.1 MP instead of 40.2 MP. Unless you crop hard or print past A2, you will not see the difference in a portrait — and the $700 you save buys most of a 56 mm f/1.2.
