The short version

The Fujifilm X-Pro1 and Fujifilm X100 are Fujifilm APS-C bodies from different lines — the X-Pro and the X100. The X-Pro1 is the newer of the two, arriving in 2012. At launch the X-Pro1 was $1,699 and the X100 $1,199, making the X100 the more affordable of the two.

On paper the X-Pro1 is the stronger body of the two. It gives you 16.3 MP of resolution, 6 fps continuous shooting, and 1080p/24p video.

The X100 isn't far behind. It hits back with a lighter 445 g body.

So which one? If you want 16.3 MP of resolution, get the X-Pro1. If a lighter 445 g body is closer to what you actually need, the X100 is the smarter buy. And the X100 costs less — $1,199 at launch.
